Wraps are tasty. Hummus is tasty. But at some point hummus starts to get a little boring and you want a different vegetable spread for once. In Isa Does It ️ I came across hummus based on edamame beans and wasabi. Probably very tasty, but I wanted to try if it also became tasty with peas. These are much cheaper than edamame beans and also readily available organically. The idea was to cut costs some more and replace the wasabi with horseradish, until I found out that it is not vegan because of the addition of whey powder.
In any case, using peas instead of edamame beans was a success. Because even with peas this spread is very tasty, especially when combined with the tofu and sprouts. Depending on how sharp you want the spread you can add some extra wasabi.
You will need a food processor for this dish.
Tips
for 4 wraps
Heat oil in a pan. Brown the tofu all around
Meanwhile, make the pea spread. To do this, put all ingredients in the food processor and grind to a smooth spread. Depending on the tahini, you may need some extra water . Season to taste with pepper and salt
Prepare the wraps according to the package directions. Top them with the pea spread, baked tofu and sprouts.
