Many people like to eat French fries. Every once in a while that is perfectly delicious, but sometimes it is better to choose a healthier alternative. Then this recipe comes to the rescue. These fries are not made from potato, but from celeriac. It's not a lot of work, but you should allow for 50 minutes of preparation time. Most of the preparation time consists of waiting, and so does the cooking.
The celeriac is not the brightest vegetable in the store, but it is very versatile ánd generally readily available. They have a long shelf life, which makes it ideal to stock regularly. With a celeriac in the pantry, you can always conjure up these fries on the table. You don't need much ingredients before you grill the fries from celeriac in the airfryer.
Tips

Place the celeriac fries in a large bowl. Add the lime juice and add enough water so they are just about submerged. Soak 20 minutes
Preheat the airfryer to 200°C. Drain the fries and pat dry. Mix with the oil, pepper, salt and bell pepper
Put the fries in the airfryer basket. Make sure you don't fry too many fries at once, because this will result in soggy fries. Bake the fries in the airfryer for 10 minutes. Shuffle, and bake for another 8 minutes
